These Older Celebrities Are Still Alike and Kicking Hard

Linda Evans – 79 Years Old

Actress Linda Evans became a household name when she joined the show, The Big Valley. However, her most iconic role came in 1981 when she landed a lead role on the soap opera Dynasty, which became one of the biggest primetime shows of the era. Evans won a People’s Choice Award and a Golden Globe Award nomination for her brilliant portrayal of socialite Krystle Carrington in the soap.

When the show ended, Evans went into semi-retirement, focusing on fitness instead of pursuing other acting opportunities. As a fitness advocate, Evans published exercise books, opened a string of fitness centers, and became a spokesperson for the brand Rejuvenique, which sold masks for toning face muscles.

Ann-Margret – 78 Years Old

The entertainment industry is a tough place where only a few singers can successfully crossover into film and television. Yet, one celebrity who did it perfectly was singer-actress Ann-Margaret. Hailed by many music fans as “The Female Elvis,” Margaret rose to stardom in the 1960s thanks to her sultry voice. And just like the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, she started her acting career a few years after making it big in the music scene.

In 1964, she starred alongside Elvis Presley in the musical romance Viva Las Vegas and then went on to take roles in other significant projects such as Bye Bye Birdie, Queen Bees, Tommy, Carnal Knowledge, and Grumpy Old Men. Eventually, her hard work paid off when she got nominated for an Oscar not just once but twice! Still active in her seventies, the actress has made appearances in Law & Order: SVU, Syfy’s Happy!, and The Kominsky Method.

Mel Brooks – 96 Years Old

Writer-director Mel Brooks has not stopped since he entered the entertainment business back in the 1950s! While most older celebrities have some retirement plan in mind, Brooks does not want to stop working — ever! Way back in 1967, Brooks released his first film, the iconic The Producers. The rest, as they say, is history.

From there, he continued to hit home runs with classics like Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein, among many others. Throughout his incredibly successful career, Brooks managed to earn a fortune of $100 million, mostly from working in film, with a few brand endorsements. There’s no doubt Brooks is one of the greats!
